Well, Tyvek was wishful thinking, given the (literally) 4000 nails that had to be driven into the sheathing, but a solid day nonetheless. Got the windows cut out, and for the first time you can really get the feel for the exterior. Anyone need OSB scraps? Call me -- for god's sake, call me. This marks the beginning of a week or two break i will be taking from this project to attend to life stuff and heal the ol' hands, so you'll have to content yourself with blogarage reruns for a while (when, for example, was the last time you watched the excavation time lapses?). Actually, we may Tyvek this week, but besides that, yeah. So, it's more or less "weathered in" at this point, which is amazing. The roof already has its first leaks (they grow up so fast!) but those will be tended to in due time (the metal isn't on there yet). It's nonetheless nice and sheltery inside. Betty the construction cat appreciates it, for sure.
It's been a journey, so far, and as my dad put it, "now the work starts". For now, though, time to do some laundry, clip some fingernails, do some grocery shopping... see you out there in civilization!
(Probably best to press play on the videos, then pause, then wait for video to load, then play, for smooth playback... they are big files. 2 videos in this playlist.)

I know.
Alternately, you might need to update your Flash plugin.
