Got the pipes all cut, started soldering. Lost a pipe somehow... did the neighbor pick it up, idly, when he stopped by, thinking it was scrap? I swear, it just vanished. So i'll need to re-cut that tomorrow. I think i messed half the sweat joints up so i'll probably re-solder a few of those as well. Soldering is going to take longer than i thought, at least until i get the swing of it. My joints are a mess, so far, and that's kind of anxiety-inducing, given the stakes. I gotta come up with some way to test the system under pressure before the insulation and drywall goes up... the combination of plumb-joint anxiety, the barking dog next door, the heat, looking in vain for the MIA pipe section for 30 minutes, and my general fatigue got me so frustrated that i called it off early today. Tomorrow will be a day off. Maybe i can ratchet my impatience down a few notches before i get back on the job.
