Long day today; only some of it time lapsed. Passed the insulation inspection. Drywall crew coming tomorrow. Today was a lot of running around, getting things ready for the drywallers, some last-minute research regarding sound isolation quandaries, prepping the ceiling for the installation of the beam for hanging (most of the day), covering the top of the beam with a couple layers of thin metal (to protect the wood when/if things hang from it), touching up some of the insulation, and cleaning up. Tomorrow, when the ordered hangers (hopefully) arrive, i'll finish the beam installation (which turned out to be somewhat of a debacle due to my classically compulsively-detailed-and-attentive-yet-somehow-never-quite-thorough-enough planning style.) After I get that beam up, and the drywallers are on-task, I might actually exhale once or twice and work on getting my fists unclenched. I'll see if I can talk the drywallers into a timelapse scenario of some kind. Otherwise, after tomorrow there won't be much updating here for a week or two...
