Whoa. Got the fixtures done after six (count them) overall trips to the hardware store for obscure light fixture parts. Turns out i'm the only guy in the world that's ever installed a light fixture. Anyway, got 'em up, tightened up a loose plumbing joint, made a little entrance area (as per code requirement) out of gravel, cleared the place out, and scheduled the final building inspection for tomorrow (Monday) afternoon. Yikers. :-) Wish me luck. Final electrical couldn't be scheduled until Tuesday afternoon, so i can further hone my anxiety for an extra 24 hours. I'll update the blogarage with the exciting results as they come in. I expect something will be deemed in need of correction; hopefully it won't be too serious. Warning: Boring time lapse. Today was also the first day that i closed the door with all the windows closed and the garage door weather stripping was installed. I thought that something was trapped in the door, but it was just the air pressure of the inside of the building resisting the shutting of the door. Wild, this new-fangled ultra-tight construction.
Update: Passed the general inspection! I'll be damned. Electrical tomorrow...
